Fantasy Bedroom
/This five year old girl’s bedroom was in desperate need of color and new furniture after Mom realized that her daughter was growing out of her little bed. After meeting with my young client for the first time, I quickly learned that her favorite colors were purple and pink and I found a whimsical floral and bird fabric by Osborne & Little to launch the color palette for the room. Both her parents wanted the décor to evolve with her as she grows into a teenager so I selected the floral chandelier, the bedside lamps, chest and pink chaise with a pre-teen girl in mind. Authentic Home COLOR Paint in Light Lavender was used on the walls and Ocean Mist was used on the ceiling. The complementary seafoam green headboard, storage chest, area rug and ceiling paint color beautifully tie the room together. Mom loves the room so much that she is often found napping on the bed on weekends. I was thrilled to be part of this exciting transformation of a “white” box into my young client’s fantasy bedroom.
